About NK15068
NK15068 is an independent guide to ZIP 15068 (New Kensington, Arnold and Lower Burrell, Pa.), published by the GitHub account DonnieCash. It draws its own map from open data, computes crime and crash figures from the FBI’s and PennDOT’s public files, and links every news summary, phone number and historical fact to where it was published. Nothing here is paid placement.

What’s on the site
- Lost and found pets: who to call first, a free board for neighbors’ posts and a flyer maker.
- Phone numbers: city halls, police non-emergency lines, the library, schools and animal help.
- Calendar: Fridays on Fifth, council nights, deadlines and yearly events.
- Crime: each police department’s FBI figures in plain words, the police blotter and serious crashes.
- Map: 1,256 places and 790 streets on a map drawn from open data.
- The three towns: city halls, parks, neighborhoods and figures for each city.
- News: short summaries of other outlets’ reporting, each linked to the original.
- History: 61 dated events, neighborhoods, landmarks and notable people.
How it’s made
The map comes from Overture Maps and OpenStreetMap, clipped to the Census boundary for 15068. The history, civic, news and lost-pet entries were compiled from published reporting and official pages in September 2026. Some linked pages couldn’t be opened while this was compiled; for those, the facts come from a search engine’s summary of the page rather than the page itself. Every entry links to its source, so you can check it, and corrections are welcome.

How it’s kept up to date
Map data and crime figures are refreshed monthly; each change is listed on What’s new. The lost and found board updates within minutes of a post.
